Sandra Noeth est professeure au HZT Berlin, curatrice et dramaturge.
Ses recherches s'articulent autour de la question du corps en croisant les perspectives et pratiques artistiques, sociales, politiques et militantes.
Elle est conférencière et professeure invitée à l'internationale. Elle a été maîtresse de conférences à la Stockholm University of the Arts (2012-2018), professeure invitée à Ashkal Alwan à Beirut (2015-2016). Elle organise depuis 2018 le HZT/SODA-Lecture Series qui réunit des artistes, penseur.euse.s.x et chercheur.se.s.x à l'internationale pour des conférences à la croisée de l'esthétique, de la politique et de l'éthique. Elle a également initié le Sites of Knowing project series (depuis 2025) qui entend explorer les approches, contextes et conditions pour des recherches axées sur le corps dans le domaine des arts, en collaboration avec R. Najdi et N. Deli?

Ses recherches abordent plus précisément le rôle, le statut et l'autonomie des corps dans les processus frontaliers avec le projet " What does it take to cross a border ? (ifa-gallery Berlin, 2018-19) ; la relation entre les arts, les corps et les politiques de protection inégalitaires, avec le groupe de recherche international et la série du programme " Bodies, un-protected " en collaboration avec le Mousonturm Frankfurt am Main (2020-2022) ; l'incarnation de la violence structurelle avec le programme et la série de workshops " Violence of Inscriptions " co-organisé par A. Zaides et le HAU-Hebbel am Ufer de Berlin (2015-2018) ; les pratiques d'apprentissage collectif (voir Hållning, une plateforme d'apprentissage collectif axée sur le corps).
Elle travaille comme dramaturge indépendante et avec des institutions. Elle a notamment collaboré avec Lina Majdalanie et Rabih Mroué sur le spectacle " Four Walls and a Roof " (Festival d'Automne de Paris, 2025) et elle a été responsable de la dramaturgie et de la recherche au Tanzquartier de 2009 à 2014. Par ailleurs, elle est régulièrement contactée pour participer à des jurys et comités de nominations nationaux et internationaux dans les domaines de la danse, la performance et la recherche et pour examiner des projets de thèse dans ces mêmes domaines.
Sandra Noeth is a professor at the HZT Berlin, and a practising curator and dramaturg. She specialises in body-based research in the arts, society and politics. She often brings together knowledge from diverse artistic, social, political, and activist fields and practices.
Sandra is an international lecturer and educator. She was a Senior Lecturer at the Stockholm University of the Arts from 2012-18 and a guest professor at Ashkal Alwan in Beirut from 2015-16. Since 2018, she has been curating the HZT/SODA-Lecture Series, which brings together international researchers, artists and thinkers at the intersections of aesthetics, politics and ethics. She also initiated the Sites of Knowing project series (2025 ongoing), which explores approaches, contexts and conditions for body-based research in the arts (with R. Najdi and N. Delic). From 2025 onwards, Sandra acts as Deputy Artistic Director of the centre.
Selected research and curatorial activities focus on the role, status and agency of bodies in bordering processes such as What does it take to cross a border? (ifa-gallery Berlin, 2018-19); the relationship between arts, bodies and the unequal politics of protection as explored in the international research group and program series Bodies, un-protected with Mousonturm Frankfurt am Main (2020-22); the embodiment of structural violence as examined in the program and workshop series Violence of Inscriptions, co-curated with A. Zaides and HAU- Hebbel am Ufer Berlin (2015-2018); and practices of collective learning (see: Hållning–a body-based platform for collective learning, with MDT Stockholm, 2020-21).
